I am originally from Hawaii, and lived there for a long time. I never knew there were puffs in there, I usually see people pulling up ugly looking crabs. I wouldn't eat anything caught in the Ala Wai its so polluted in there, some dude fell in a few years ago and got a flesh eating virus and died.

I sent Wes a picture of the Samoan crab my kids caught last month. Claws were thicker than my wrist. Caught on the Windward side though.

Crazy! I always loved to follow fishermen around when I went to the beach and bugged them about what they had caught when I was a kid. Keep posting pictures up in your blog its a interesting read.
