The sand wont be mixing, it will stay in the pool filter.Zfishies;4410766; said:Why can't you mix pool sand and live sand ?
Yes you can, but there are some things you need to pay attention to. Such as phosphates, ph swings, and other variables that could be changed from the sand. Saltwater is more delicate with fake sand and fake rock.Zfishies;4411396; said:Ohh but can you mix pool sand an live sand ???
Yea but without my tank being drilled... how to i get the water to the pump from the home made inlet i will make from pvc? Will the pool pump auto prime?Kevin8888;4411417; said:Umm... well I would think you would connect it the same way you connect one to a pool... water flow is top down with pump at the bottom? something like that maybe pump at the top, I haven't touched a pool filter in a few years lol.
Bad idea, I'm in Israel right now and a week back or so I was watching nat geo wild with some cousins at their house and there was some awesome green moray feeding footage. I was actually going to pm you about it but I forgot. One of the things it ate was an orange toadfish that they called a stonefish or scorpionfish or something it looked just like yours but at least 18 inches long and 6 wide. It talked about how the moray dgaf about its venom and will eat it regardless. But it would look awesome in that tank .TheCanuck;4387035; said:Hes on thin ice, he might to into the moray tank!
