The Use of Probiotics in Aquaculture

Arent most of the benificial bacteria and enzymes going to be removed when you do the wc ?

Not auestion your methods neil. Just me being me

Not anymore than your bio-bacteria is removed by performing a water change. Heterotrophic bacteria reproduce very quickly in an aquarium setting.

Cool. Probably gonna try this some time next week. Will post before and after pic of intake tubes and media

your beni bacteria does not live in the water, but on the surfaces, hence the need for a good bio media. if it lived in the water it be cloudy all the time, like a non cycled tank is.

Found this on youtube, using RID-X on a 150 gallon tank.

Tested rides against normal maintenance and ridX with normal. The filer is half as dirty after 1 week on a 150 with 6 8" zonatus each.

Pretty impressive, im gonna start treating my 150 and 75 gal this week. Wanna give the filters a good cleaning first.

As for the 30 gal planted the ridx had no negative impact on the plants or fish

After one week of using ridx
