There's no real exact science to this, but slowly is the key, especially if a tank is high in organic build up. See post #490 for more info.

looking at how clean the mechanical filtration and biomedia is. I would take pictures of before and then 1-2 months later after using. I know that I can tell it's working by simply looking at my canister tubes which are the semi-transparent green tubes. I see more than 50% of the mulm gone while using it. When I quit using it, I see the inside of the tubes more than 80% covered in mulm.

I say to check the pump flow. If it’s increasing you are doing ok. Mine only took one week to clear up a lot with probiotics.

I used two different products. I didn’t follow a rigid dosing plan.

My only advice is to start slowly.
I like smaller and more frequent “seedings”.

If you overdose, you will cloud up the water. Add air if that happens.

My Bio-clean came today, but I will wait a few days for the Roebic to wear out a bit.

So far I am very happy with the results of this process.
