I'm confident enough with my math that I would say try the clr. You can get some at any hardware, grocery, or department store. It will be in the cleaning supplies area.
Nobody's arguing it :D, already ahve 4 vote for it.

Midnight, have you concentrated on one small area to see if you can actually remove it all ?

It may be that the glass is actually etched, in that case you will have to polish it.

I warned you about the sandpaper :(.
Just say NO to wire brushes . ()even brass ones)

I got two 55g I'll trade you for it? ;)

Nothing beats good ol' lemon juice.

...well, nothing that I'd mind inhaling, at least.

this is new to me.
stupid question, you buy it in stores as lemon juice?or squeeze your own?lol
The reason that any of these things work, the vinegar, the CLR, and the lemon juice is because they are acids. If you want to make things easier on yourself bypass these home remedies and get yourself some HCl acid, you can control the strength, it will cost less, and save you a lot of elbow grease.

You can get it a pool supply place, they use it to clean mineral deposits in swimming pools. If you cant find it locally search online for HCl, (aka muriatic acid) and you will find tons of places you can get it

thanks for the reply
and i really dont want to use acid.lol
im sure it would work tho :D
you already are.......

vinegar is an acid, so is clr, and lemon juice....

by definition so is water most of the time.

the acids you are using are weak, that's why its taking so much work on your part. get a stronger acid and the deposits will come off easier
