12+ hrs later :nilly:
wet sanded the thick spots
"i used lots of spit lol and it didnt scratch, just watch if you try"
used 1000 grit

also used lemon juice
thanks unprofessional it smelled way better then the goof off i tried.
plus i used it inside and the lil left in the tank should be ok in 240g of water.

also used a razor blade for the tuff spots

would be filling up the tank but the 8x2 backing i just made,
well,
rolled it up to clean and when i unrolled it it was stuck together.3rd pic. :irked:

yup
and yup it comes off.1/4" at a time is all you can do.
and on glass thats 24'x2',well thats alot of scraping. :nilly: lol :grinno:
the clr bath and tile is helping.
worked for hours yesterday and got it better.
and plan to do a few hours today.
maybe someday i will see it full.lol

trust me you couldnt find what i did.
plus this tank had coral so its already scratched up but who can complain for free right? :D

that doesnt equal up to even half this tank. :screwy: :grinno:

Yes, but mine are clean .

.

Looking good!

I thought you would just paint MONSTERFISHKEEPRS.COM across the glass for a background! Then the fish will know what they have to live up too!

And if you send in a pic you might get a free subscription to MFK!!! that alone is worth it.

If nothing else it will make a good lap pool.

Still gotta clean the sump?

General question:

Why do people freak out about using CLR to clean a tank? after it's rinsed it's like it was never there. No one has ever advocated leaving it in the tank . (even midnight knows to to rinse it out ;))

okay, cause anything that tells me i best be wearing gloves to use it??? makes me very nervous about using it and leaving a residue....that will be killing off my fish mysteriously two months down the road.....
i once knew a guy who used windex to clean out the inside of a new tank....rinsed well then filled, then let the water sit ect, this was yearrrs back.....he had a tank full of hanks when he finally filled it with stock.....

would ya clean off a glass, rinse well, then drink water out of it using clr to clean it???

Me too! I did say rinsed, I guess I should have said cleaned & rinsed...I shouldn't take these things for granted.

Like TUFFTOBEATII said they recommend it for use on implements the are used for consumption by humans.

I trust my work implicitly, I has to be right the first time.

Never lost a critter from contamination.
