That may be but in a thread obviously about aquatic predators posting that humans and parasites are the top predators is a bit of a smart ass answer.
 
but that is not my answer.i just wanted people to know that saying parasites for everything made no sense. in the previous posts everyone kept saying parasites parasites, so now no more mentioning parasites. only aquatic predators please

Then I believe we're on the same page.
 
yeah, parasites are predators, but dominant/top predators can easily CRUSH a parasite with their weigh, teeth, swing of a tail, etc.
 
Ants: as colonies not individuals. Intelligence has proven the 'trump' trait of a predator. Among known species on this planet at the moment the ant colonies if considered as a whole are the closest thing humans have to an intellectual and creative rival.
 
Megladon and Dunkleosteus were cool, but they obviously couldn't hack it since they're extinct :D My vote:

Everything goes extinct eventually but if you want to play that card sharks in general have been doing well for a very long time.
