Oh I assumed freshwater. Saltwater it has to be the Orca :D:headbang2maybe great white. That would be a fun battle to watch
If you search long enough on youtube you will eventually come across a clip of an orca toying with a great white and finally eating it.

I can't remember precisely if it was a pack of orcas or not, but i am enclined to think it was a pack, seeing as they are never far from one another, especially not in search for food.

OT: The top predator in my mind, of all times, is the orca. I'm not a fanboy of the orca, or anything like that, but this creature is an aquatic animal, but it can hunt on land aswell as in the sea. Now that's a huge step of evolvement towards becoming an ultimate predator.
I don't think there has ever been a creature (that we know of) that is as versatile and intelligent as the orcas, who can actually use vocal communication and follow orders.

yes, i've seen that vid! awesome all the way!

Well guys and gals, you are close, Orcas are indeed a top predator and do indeed kill and eat great whites but my money is on the biggest and possibly smartest predator of our time. The top predator that wields it's one projected energy weapon...... Yes

Sperm Whale

They feed on giant squids and use sonar as a weapon. They can make a human nauseous just be scanning him out of curiosity. many toothed whales use their sonar as a weapon dolphins use their sonar to stun small fish but the Sperm Whale has the most powerful sonar of all the whales. Even Orcas give them a wide bearth....

Whoa, don't lose up on the prehestoric's - at 25 meters long and 150 tons, the liopleurodon is clearly the greatest predator of all time!

me, in scuba gear.

Orcas are pretty tough, but in something like this, I dont see a single killer whale defeating a great white. Dinosaurs are awesome, but there's no solid proof in my mind on the toughness like we have now.

I say send the writers of the Greatest Warrior the great white/orca topic, and put yalls arguing to an end!

The film clip Isaw was of a lone Orca killing an adult great white shark and feeding it to it's baby. One on one an orca is an awesome creature, large powerful and smart. Great whites are indeed powerful but lets face it they don't have sonar, they are not smart and they don't get as big as orcas. Orcas rule...... Great whites are baby food....
