Topaz Cichlid

Ohhhhhhh. Sorry, i thought acid water was high ph. Also, it needs to be ok with senegal bichirs, congo tetras, african butterfly fish, and a potential puffer or other oddball fish. My ph is between 7 and 7.8

Hello, I was wondering about the care of topaz cichlids. It seems like they like acidic water. Does anyone else know anything about them? If not, what cichlids would be good in a congo river basin biotype with congo tetras, and Senegal bichirs as well as African Butterfly Fish in a 55 g?
Is that a convict? Need more info please.

I do think as far as an oddball goes, the abf is that. They are essentially a dwarf arowana.
Any other oddball has a risk of bothering the abf or becoming bichir food.

my senegal bichir was a pain in the arse, always starting fights with other bichirs until my south american lungfish accidentally crushed its head while getting food.

my delhezi is way more passive than my senegal bichir.

Mhm. I think that I will just stick with a few cichlids, a Senegal bichir, a few congo tetras, and 2 ABF's. But, this is the reason I posted this thread, to figure out a cichlid. Not to debate all stocking. We can debate the whole stock once sparky leaves. Right now, I just want to figure out a medium-aggressive cichlid that will stand it's ground against dwarf arowanas (abf's), and won't become a midnight snack to a larger fish, but at the same time, won't eat the congo tetras.
