yeah, that's how those things tend to go. i at least hope that those that really wanted a TPG to keep for their own were able to get in on the order. i suppose if they didn't it's their loss as the price for individuals will only increase for a while (as fish grow/until demand is met).

looking forward to continued updates!--

I know I'll be keeping mine. I don't understand why people would order them then sell them after just a few weeks... Once in a life time opportunity.

Anyways, I was curious as to how gars show aggression toward one another?
I've seen the Trop attack the snout of the much larger Florida, and this morning as one of the smaller Floridas was speeding in the direction of the Trop, the Trop actually snapped at it.
I don't know if this is him mistaking them for food, or actual aggression.

at those stages it's more reflex toward food than it is aggression. similarly, however, gars show aggression by nipping at each other, shredding fins, or doing the entertaining "follow the gar" routine. in captivity they definitely seem to form a sort of social hierarchy, whereas in the wild there is more space so behavior tends to be different.

in my tank with the largest gars, the hierarchy of aggression goes like this (top to bottom of the group) croc II - Cubans - Florida/tropical - spotteds. keep in mind relative sizes of fishes will make a difference, but IMO/IME, gators and Cubans are more aggressive, TPG/SNG/FLG can be pretty similar with TPG at a slight edge, LNG tend to be the least aggressive in a group of gars...again, size is relative and these are generalizations--
