Peace for 4 days. Then came the feeding day and all fed well. In 1-2 days the paroons were found to bite the piraiba again.

It seems like why not? The paroons killed over one night a 2' Distichodus sexfaciatus about 4-5 years ago in this tank, that was their first. Then they slowly attacked Indian shovelnose a couple of years back, which then was taken out and recovered in a different tank. Some months ago they tried the true black pacu but left it alone on their own. Now they turned to the piraiba. So far never touched the RTCs, Jau, and Wallagonia, it seems.
