hey rambo ,, looks similar to these that i have bought 2 of,,

these were labelled as quetzal cichlids ,,(am still digging for info )

heres a pic ,,

Does look like a synpsilum or at least a young vieja- any chance you could get a face and clearer profile shot?

There is a decent chance it is a cross breed as true synpsilums can be tricky to get in a lfs but yours look like a fish with potential either way.

Are you hoping to breed them? hope you plan on keeping them so we can see what they turn out like!

lfs has them labelled now as cichlasoma synspilum , i think its another name used for vieja so my research/googling tells me ,, i will sort some better pics (i only have a camera phone ,lol)

Yeah soz bout the delay dude and my sis apologises that she doesnt have enough money for you, I have just picked up a few tanks so had no need for it but she was very interested matey.

I am after an arowana, silver or gold, been looking all over the net for 1 at the right size, 6" to 8" will be ideal if any1 has seen 1 please let me know, thanks.

Pier has some sweet little silvers, bout 6". I bought one but it got eaten. £26 aswell
