Also hows the aro settling in, i need to see pics!!
i have decided i really need an arowana!

it kinda grew on me to get one ,, i read up a bit and decided on black rather than silver as they are less likely to get dropeye ,

matt has seen the aro i bought when he came over the other week ,, it was in the process of being broken into pellets then at water zoo,,

Haha yes especially for a student. I saw a blue at wharf at 10" for £175 and i prefer blue to black in general so i would have gone for that, but i thought 175 was a lot lol.
I need that RTG or a leopoldi. Since your so flush do you want to chip in on a leopoldi pup :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Blue and black are the same thing. It's just that labelling them blue allows you to charge more. They are pretty rare in the uk now and are getting much, much more rare and so i think you'll find that value will just go up and up as they are becoming increasingly endangered. Black/blue's do not get drop eye, are far less aggressive than others and are easily the most graceful arowana species so i'm sure jason will not be disappointed. Got mine from dangerous dan for less than a £100 a long time back (check this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45968 ) and wouldn't swap mine for any other aro now.

that pic is ace ,, that pimm at the bottom left,, i was told i could not put one in with my dats by a lfs, i know where one is 8inch ish ,and i quite liked it ,,
drop eye was my reason for getting a black aro ,, i read up on the pro's and cons of each and have been sifting through the aro sectiom on mfk also ,,
it was not an impulse buy and i have walked away from a couple of other aro's .
i saw this one feeding before i bought it , and it took the floating pellets very gently , no snatching or aggression ,,
i know i will get lots of joy from owning the aro
