that pic is ace ,, that pimm at the bottom left,, i was told i could not put one in with my dats by a lfs, i know where one is 8inch ish ,and i quite liked it ,,
drop eye was my reason for getting a black aro ,, i read up on the pro's and cons of each and have been sifting through the aro sectiom on mfk also ,,
it was not an impulse buy and i have walked away from a couple of other aro's .
i saw this one feeding before i bought it , and it took the floating pellets very gently , no snatching or aggression ,,
i know i will get lots of joy from owning the aro

unbelievably my aro not only likes pellets but tetra prima!!! if you wanna put weight on it then go for giant mealworms, personally mine just eats pellets and frozen prawns.

Calophysus macropterus, aka the vulture cat, is a stunning cat and i got one as i knew i wasn't gonna be able to house a lince. very active, especially while young and once the lights go off where they tend to swim mid water. got a bit of a bad rep but i've never had any aggression whatsoever with mine. good price for one 8-10" is about £80 altho i've seen them as low as £50 and as high as £120. got mine from wildwoods. here's a better pic of mine:

I nearly bought one for 130 back in 2006, the only thing that stopped me was my marble pim and clarius cat that i had at the time, they were quite unfriendly.
It is a beautifull catfish, and again i can see your L14's and 2 just isnt enough lol, seriously if you ever want to sell them i am willing:D (to give them a great home that is):D

Thanks for the heads up but its a yellow tail arrowana:cry:

that is the nicest banjar i've ever seen. it appears to be exactly the same pic as from this website though:

http://www.arowana-supplies.co.uk/id72.html

this would suggest that either:

1) the fish for sale is not the actual fish
2) it is a fraud
3) that the person got the fish from them and this is an old pic and it may have now deteriorated in condition.

either way £400 is ridiculous. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near that rtg at st albans either, but that's a story i'll tell you about by pm if you like.

just looked and dangerous dan still has one of his blacks from the same collection as mine left. here's his stockpage:

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103411

he's treated this as his own for 2 and a half years. you won't find healthier or better condition than that. and if dan says it's 14" it's probably more like 18-19".

hahaha dans a bit pessamistic when it comes to size, ay?

I think i would prefer to spend that kind of money on a RTG after seeing that one in maidenhead the colours and the scales, it was stunning.
Pm me about it i would like to know what is wrong with it.:(

I have to express myself somewhere so im going to bore you all for a minute lol

I am sooo happy with my flower ray i dont think ive ever been as happy with my tank as i am now, i have ordered some internal filters to polish the water now so everything is looking up.
The flower ray is just out of this world!! I thought rays were boring when i had my KMM but i get it now and i have never spent as much time watching the tank and, it stupid how happy i am now, and its all because of the flower ray and the best plecs in the world....L14's, really what a plec i reccomend you all go buy one NOW.
Thats my 1 minute ramble over, if it doesnt make sense and i have repeated myself a lot its because im stupidly excited at how epic my tank looks now!!
Thanks Martin for the heads up on the ray and the L14's ;)

aaahhhh tom thats really sweet, almost bought a tear to my eye :)
i get like that every now and again, till my filter packs up again and all my fish die!
