my wife is very excited. I think she wants to relive her childhood crush on Tom cruise! I might have to find a babysitter and organise the classic dinner and movie date when it’s released.
It’s a big deal for people in their 30s and 40s but I wonder if a 20 year would be interested in a sequel to a movie that came out in the mid 80s?
It’s almost the equivalent a sequel to rebel without a cause coming out in 1988.
Sorry guys, I'm going to have to buck the trend on this one. I just can't join you in your eager anticipation regarding the new Top Gun movie.
I just find that would be hero gets girl premise all too much. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing to do with Tom Cruise, he's been in some great movies over the years. But Top Gun, for me, wasn't one of them, lol.

Fair enough,as I've said I'm no big fan of the guy or his movies,especially Jack Reacher whom he had no business starring as but I do want to see this one.
Why do you say that? Was the part originally meant for someone else?
Netflix "Midnight Mass".
There are three types of horror film for me. Your bloodfest type horrors which contain loads of over the top blood and guts, such as "The Texas chainsaw massacre", which in fact are more comical than scary!
Then there are the suspense type horrors. Dimly lit or completely dark rooms, a killer on the loose and the would be victim alone. You know that something's going to happen but when it does you still jump out of your skin. The original "Halloween" from 1978 scared the sh*t out of me, lol.
And then there are the seriously disturbing horrors. Made to shock, very close to the bone as to what is acceptable for viewing. One such film that really disturbed me was "Hostel." Graphic human torture and such.
I'm not sure about that but I was quite surprised to learn that Cruse had taken the role.I have read a few of the Jack Reacher novels and Cruse is nowhere near the description of the character.
I like a good horror movie,check out Pull and then there is the Firestarter remake that comes out soon.
