Upcoming Movies and TV shows

Just started watching the new, "day of the jackal" on Netflix, with Eddie Redmayne.

It's quite good.

I like Eddie Redmayne as an actor. I usually wait for at least 2-3 new episodes of a show to be available before watching but every week my wife and I watch the new episode of this one.

Fans of the original "Dexter" may be aware of a single season sequel called "Dexter new blood". Well there's also a single season prequel starting soon called "Dexter original sin", which takes us back to his early college days. @jjohnwm, I believe you are a Dexter fan?

I am indeed, but I just can't be bothered to be constantly swapping, adding and subtracting various streaming services simply to watch one single series; I watch more TV than I once did but I'm still not a huge addict of the tube.

I saw an ad for "original sin" just last night while watching Netflix and didn't notice who's streaming it; if it's Netflix or Prime I'll watch it for sure, but there are already too many existing series that I can't keep track of on the few channels I have now. I just finished...and loved..."Sons of Anarchy" (an oldie, I know) and have now started "Mayans"...not as good, but still watchable.

And, incredibly, my wife has somehow conned me into watching "Grey's Anatomy" with her; a drama about a bunch of self-absorbed selfish young doctors behaving like they are in high school is about as far from what I normally watch as you can get, but for some reason I am watching it...

I've also discovered a slew of old B-grade and C-grade horror/scifi movies on Prime and Tubi, and of course feel obligated to work my way through them as well. :)

That's the beauty of not having followed much TV for a few decades; there's a crapload of stuff that's "new" to me. :)

Yeah, it's certainly confusing and downright annoying at times. In my simple mind there should be one platform, where you pay one subscription, and are able to watch anything that's ever been made!

Sons of Anarchy is very old, and very long if I remember rightly. The wife and I watched it over a decade ago now. She loved it and insisted I bought her a leather biker jacket, which she still has!
