The locals call them baracudas, large predatory tetra, easily caught on hook and line, I brought back two small ones.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! must get my hands on those!!! i have never seen captive gymnogeos look so nice and with such outlandish nuchal humps. it's insane!!!!

There are plenty of gymnogeos floating around in Socal. If you look hard enough, you'll find some.

How tough is it bringing the fish back?
