I think every meal should contain B1, so I presoak everything thawed in VitaChem and B1. B1 daily value is small, for humans I think 1.5mg, fish are much smaller. But it is very water soluble. So if not eaten right away, the vitamin washes out. It can be absorbed by fish from water too, but IDK how efficiently. Taken with food should be far better / more reliable.

Update on our two leerii / micropogon. The 10yo surprised me by eating 2x more than usual.

I am pulling the trigger on getting a Leerii, but I was thinking about getting 2. What is your experience on housing 2 together? I can handle the fighting for dominance as long as they won't kill each other.

We kept a trio together with small issues, as reported on this thread too. They had a pecking order. I read someone reported on big problems with their group, including the killings. Sounds like a gamble. Maybe gender dependent, IDK. Tank size and tank mates etc. matter too I imagine. Ours didn't mind helicopting together side by side in 4500gal.
