Very cool. I will have to think over a couple of you ideas and implement them into the basement.
Cool, post some pictures of your build.greengiant;2481689; said:Chomper you have the greatest ideas I never thought of that I was trying to figure out how I would do it but you did it for me thanks
I guess that means that your basement doesn't have a sump pump or floor drain. We don't have basements here so I wasn't even thinking of it being usefull in a basement. Anyway, I'm glad I could be helpful.Pharaoh;2481803; said:Very cool. I will have to think over a couple of you ideas and implement them into the basement.

sorta like an outlet for water...
I have a sump pump in the basement, but I will be building a tank that will go into the finished living side of the basement. I will probably use the outlet plate idea to run the plumbing for the tank. That way, if I move it, I can just put a blank plate over the top of it and go on about my business.CHOMPERS;2482242; said:I guess that means that your basement doesn't have a sump pump or floor drain. The back up plan for extended periods away from home is a shut off valve on the drip system. However, based on its past reliability, I didn't bother to shut it off when I was off on my last vacation.arl;2508470; said:Do you have a back up plan incase there's a long black out (long enough to fill your sump) or if your breaker trips? or if your sump pump breaks? and your not home.
Most newer homes have battery backups installed on the sumps for that just in case moment.arl;2508470; said:Do you have a back up plan incase there's a long black out (long enough to fill your sump) or if your breaker trips? or if your sump pump breaks? and your not home.
