Its hard to stay out, plus it didn't take me long to grow out the cats I had. :D And I still have three very large catfish still in the pond. ;)

Hmm thats very interesting. Im sorry to hear about yours. That sucks that you lost your marbled pim as well. They are my fav cats and mine was about the same size as yours. :( I now have two smaller ones that i picked up and am growing out. Luckily my two 14" mono peacocks show/showed no signs of anything wrong. My two florida gar are not in that tank yet but when they are I will monitor them. Luckily this liner I am using has already been used by somebody else for a previous pond. It was home to some very beautiful koi that I now have. :)

Yeah they are alive and healthy. I think the hybrid has added about 4 or 5 inches since you gave him to me. He has actually become the dominant cat of the tank. lol

It's hard to comprehend how these troughs are used to hold drinking water for cattle, horses, etc. Other than zinc, galvanized iron has heavy metals in at least trace amounts, which poison any living organism. I hope someone who knows the exact chemical composition of galvanized iron and perhaps the chemical state and the effect of the leached-out components on fish would explain things more comprehensively.

Derek, I feel your pain. Once, I had a loss like yours multiplied by 20 (100 large fish). Life goes on. We are all in this together.
