So far mine is only taking shrimp pellets, and shrimp. Won't touch silversides. It's a pretty silly fish lol. I am thinking it is male as well.

The females have a stronger/thicker upper jaw. The females vent is oval and ends in a round, fleshy lobe. The males vent is pointier and does not have the fleshy lobe at the end.
Necro's looks male from the head and body shape. I(We)'d need to se a vent picture though.
Breeding require a large pond.

Ye got two dark grey ones in with my big koi pond is about 20ft by 8ft by about 4ft biggest wels is about 3ft and the second is just under 2 feeding on halibat pellets, boillies, muscles, the odd frog that makes its way into the pond and a few live fish once ina while. Also going fishing for them in the Ebro in Spain this year.

That's pretty cool man. How small is the smallest koi in there? I'm thinking about an albino when my koi are bigger.
