Whale Wars: Viking Shores

I wouldn't have a problem slashing tires on a truck of people hunting an endangered animal. I would be proud to do it

It's not as if whales reproduce at the rate that most fish species do,just a few pups per year probably...I don't know the current population numbers but I don't see how they can keep up with the amount of hunting that takes place.

Hell, we murdered the poachers that were killing elephants in the 90s. No one seemed opposed to that tactic

There is a BIG difference poaching in a sovereign country that can make laws against poaching and hunting whales in the ocean. There are no laws when sailing in international waters. It really is dog eat dog.

International waters?...There was mention on one of the previous episodes that the whalers were poaching in Australian waters...If that is true or not brings me to the question of why these people cannot catch what they need in THEIR OWN waters,is there any life left to hunt there?

They are, The Australian Antarctic territory. The Australian government has condemned the Japanese and pretty much every other country has as well. they are violating I nternational conservation law and hunting in the Antarctic whale sanctuary

So much for the international waters B.S...I'm guessing Australia has no navy or coast guard or they must be busy with other duties.

Several countries claim Antarctic and the waters that surround the area that they claim, but no country recognizes each other’s claim. It’ll be like the USA claiming all the waters from San Francisco to Hawai’i all the way up to Alaska because we claim it, but no country would recognize it. Only ships that sail under the Australian flag must obey by it or if the government of countries recognizes it. Anything is just BS’ing. If the Japanese did violate their territorial waters… the Australian Navy/Coast Guard would have already intercepted them and confiscated their catch.

Don’t believe everything you see on TV. Editing is a very powerful tool for making you believe something else.

I don't which was why I, in post 85, questioned whether the claim was true or not along with the other question I asked.

Fine then , I'f you use the "international" waters thing as justification for the japs to do what they want, the sea shepherds should be able to do whatever they want as well
