Whale Wars: Viking Shores

One life is still worth a lot.

The bullfighting thing sounds more exciting if they'd fight a healthy bull and not kill it for fun. I realize a 2000 pound bull is really strong and can do some damage and kill a person. If the person was skilled at evading a bull it'd be more understandable. It's more like you'll never be good enough, so we'll cripple this animal, so you can have a pitty win.

The Sea Shepard is only allowed to be doing what they are doing because they are doing it on the High-Seas. The Japanese are very reserved people… trying doing this to a Chinese fish trawler and the Sea Shepard’s crew a few would have been killed already and the ship might be sunk already. The Sea Shepard is like The Animal Liberation Front. Look them up if you don’t know who they are.

The Japanese is not the only nation that hunts whales. Native Americans tribes living in Alaska…AKA America – good ole USA and Canada are allowed to hunt whales. Iceland and Norway are countries that also hunt whales.

Hunting whales are not illegal under international law. Just because you do not agree with what people are doing; does not give you the right to terrorize them for what they are doing.

What the Sea Shepard and crew should be doing is educate the Japanese and others who eat whale meat. Buy billboards, run ads, buy TV time. Just educate the people. You will go a lot further in stopping whaling by educating the masses.
It IS against international law to hunt whales for meat esp on the scale they do. Plus IIRC the japanese where hunting in a whaling sanctuary. And natives here in the US kill less than 5 IIRC a year. Doesnt even compare.

But I still dislike them.

japan hunts for money and food. In that order (the food is bad for you and not needed for them) in the north Atlantic it's more of the same. In the pacific for the Indians it's tradition and a necessary food for winter. They also only get a few whale and are extremely grateful that they have the animal and they thank its spirit.

And it is extremely illegal to kill whales for profit. But if you do research on them you have to use the meat. Its a he said she said. The world has bigger issues to work with plus the Japanese are horrible people to the environment (just behind the Chinese). They (both) have proven this time after time.
