This might perhaps be a far stretch but when I think of large schooling fish, I think of a nice school of Hujeta Gars.
I had considered that tbh, i've kept Hujeta's in the past and I have mixed feelings on them. On one hand: They're pretty neat, do properly school, get to a decent size, and are up at the top of the tank away from the lungfish. they also don't mess with anything they don't think they can eat. on the other hand: if they so much as THINK it will fit in their mouth they will kill it. I lost a 10in BGK to a 5in Hujeta, but that Hujeta might've just been the exception as well cuz OH BOY was he mean.
