Ever cook em in a crock pot?
Usually how we do it. That way we can be out working and come in for dinner and have them ready. Usually we add potatoes and carrots at lunch time and then let them cook.

How many of these critters have you sampled? @xraycer

For the last few months, I really got back into shooting and then hunting. Unfortunately, I got back into the hunting scene as deer season came to a close, so my focus shifted to improving my shooting. I set up a shooting range on my property, but can only use air rifles. I used to be really into air rifles and now own a number of very powerful, high end air rifles. So, when the paper and steel targets gets a little boring, I turned my attention to the ever abundant squirrel population. Besides, its also my way of getting back at the buggers that's been damaging my birdfeeders and stealing most of the seeds. So far in 2017, my squirrel count is just 4.......but they have lots of friends here.......and I have lots of pellets

I've had squirrel stew before when I was in the south but we have city squirrels up here lol..... They're huge but will eat trash so no thanks.

There does not appear to be very much meat on a damned pigeon. It would seem like a lot of work for very little payoff.

They definitely are a renewable resource. @xraycer

A yummy one at that. They tasted just like super tender beef in the Jamaican curry stew I made today. What I love is that it only takes about 5 minutes to clean them
