what is a good personable reptile

Just opening my options, can get another pet over the summer, deciding what i want.

So what is some good reptiles that are intersting and can be helded and be happy with it?(other than bearded dragon)

NO Snakes, my mom would kill me.

IMO crested geckos and leopard geckos are boring
ive owned both and i rarley ever saw them but other people say that theyres are personable. i find it hard to believe. but even tho bearded dragons are popular they are not overated and will not let u down. ive had 3 beardeds so far and everyone was awsome.

Depending on how large your enclosure could be, maybe some water dragons, or some nice day geckos (Phelsuma)
Both are very active during the day.

well maybe the shape but theres some killerrrr morphs out there.
