What is the rarest fish that you have,or have ever had.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
True, but most of our large natives are more likely to end up in the frying pan , not the fish tank.
In different parts of the world that is true of a great deal of fish that we keep.

mine would be my spiny monster pleco L-160 you can find them if you look but a few years ago there was a pleco ban from Brazil and they were not available

thats true. I had deep fried chili fish in Vietnam once and was served a huge giant gourami. As beers were only $0.50c each I can't remember what it tasted like but I enjoyed myself none the less.

I kind of miss the snakeheads...not that there was much variety available to us back then before they were banned.

For me, a Zucchini pleco. Seen 4 back in the early 90's (owned 3). Have never seen them since nor has anyone talked about them or said they owned one.

Albino Black Shark only seen 2 (owned 1), I have seen youtube videos of them.

That was back in2007, when I was young and free. It's a cool place to visit. I remember market stalls with pre bagged angelfish and goldfish for sale all out in the sun and crazy looking turtles in tubs. The freakiest thing was a giant catfishes head at a fishmongers stall, it was probably as big as 2 pillows stacked on top of each other, apparently it's something you serve at a party and serves 20 people.
I'd highly recommend it as a holiday destination though I've heard its a bit more expensive now, you might have to pat $1.00 for a beer.
