What to feed small arowana?

I'm probably getting a small silver arowana soon from a store that is selling them at 2-3". I was planning to feed them hikari carnivore sticks but I was wondering if they would be too big for an arowana of that size. I've heard of people feeding their arowanas cichlid pellets and was wondering if that's what I should feed a small arowana.

What do you guys feed your arowanas at different sizes?

the hikai carnivorous sticks are fine

just soak em to soften em up, makes eating them for the little fella much easier

if they wont take pellets you may be able to get them on baby guppies or small crickets.
Pellets are the way to go if you can, maybe tiny peices of beefheart, blood worms, chopped shrimp, krill, plankton....there are tons of things aro's will eat. Good luck and be sure to post pix!

you can try any of the freeze dried foods (krill, Plankton, bloodworms) theyll sometimes take pellets, or stick food.

one day i offered prawns and she turned her nose up at them

i dumped in pellets and WHAM!!!
