After about 20 years of using the same line i decided to try something new so i bought a spool of spiderwire xxx super mono and i can't be more happy with it sometimes change is better. I was just wondering what the rest of you consider to be the best monofilament line?

Ande in the salt. Old school and relliable. Also like Suffix Seige

All of the line I use is spiderwire. I might occasionally grab a different type of line but spiderwire seems to pan out every time and thats just what ive always used

well i don't use mono but, powerpro braided with fluorocarbon leader on all my reels

In the near 15 years that I've been fishing I don't even know how many lines or the names of the lines that I've used. I stopped when I got hooked on spiderwire. 2 setups on XXX 10-12#, 1 setup on 8# E-Z Cast. I used the spiderwire for about 4-5 years and now have a rod solely on braid after realizing how great it was. Spiderwire braid was where I started, but after 2-3 hours of fishing it's frayed, discolored and doesn't cast as well. Powerpro is where it's at for braid. I use 30# just because I want to be able to YANK bass over logs, and through lillies without worrying about my line here in FL. Done pretty well in the past few weeks. Every trip has yielded one to three 4.5+ bass.

Anything but berkley lol I tend to use 4 or 6lb stren on my smaller spinning reels

The tiny bit that is on my reel before the super line. Otherwise I hate mono. I feel it is garbage. To much memory, stretch, and you get no feel. Even fighting the fish you cant feel as much as with super lines.

I use spiderwire or fireline on my spinning. Heavy lb test power pro on my bait casters or the Cortland super braid. I use everything from 2-80lb test.
