I have just ordered a 9x3x 2.4' tank with 6x2x2' sump

I use a reef pump in my existing 6 foot which I am happy with but will need something bigger for the new tank

What do you guys use on your bigger tanks?

I would like a digi controller where you can vary the speed and switch on and off

I have heard ggood things about Evolution aqua vari but they are described as pond pumps does that make any difference?

Thanks

My experience is that the digi controller is often the first thing to go.

For reliability and great flow and head, I like the Japanese made Iwaki, and Ehiem pumps.

I use the EcoTech Vectra pumps. I use the Vectra L1 but the new model is the Vectra L2. I control most functions with the smart phone app but I prefer adjusting the speed manually using the dial on the controller.

For external I would recommend Reeflo or Iwaki. Both are very reliable. For submersible, most on mfk run the DC jebao pump with digi controller. The digi controller is the first to fail so have a backup plan.

Cheers guys

I've had bad experiences with Jebao in the past with a couple of things so I am getting Evolution aqua varipump
