Wht Filter Socks For Ray Tanks?

Not positive on microns but do know they made a huge difference in just an hour or two.

I used to use filter socks but hated them. I prefer use this filter floss layered up 2-3 times thick over my drip plate and just chuck and replace as needed. Its cheap and really easy. I also find that this particular floss catches a ton of waste but doesnt jam up as quickly as other types or socks. Give it a try for what it costs you never know.

And the dozen filter socks i just purchased for about $60 shipped lasts years ;)
 
Build yourselves a radial flow separator system and your sock life will at least double...... ;)

Just struck gold for these parts. Sourced polypropylene felt socks 7" x 32" with the plastic ring c/w plastic handles inside for $8 each. Whoot whoot! Way cheaper then I can get them anywhere else.I went with 200 micron for now but I can get various microns so I will play around and see what works best.
 
Precision marine. Wash at laundromat with bleach only. 30 minutes later, bright white
