Will this take down a skunk or racoon?

Haha its hard with out someone getting spread. The way me n my landlord did it was with wood box traps with a dropping trap door but you can still be dread thru the holes so I would cover em with a blanket doesn't help the smell but keeps it from getting on you or your clothes.

And shooting them with a 22 any better? My 880 is a small game hunting air rifle so the caliber isn't really gunna make much of a difference but accuracy.
