Description

Indostomus paradoxus is an unusual fish that is closely related to seahorses, pipefish, and other oddballs. These fish are very delicate and are best kept in a species tank. Though they do not need to be kept in groups, it is most likely for the better, as due to the fragile nature of this fish, it's entirely possible that one or two will perish prematurely. These fish, for one, are rather weak swimmers, and for two, could easily be sucked up by the average HOB, and therefore require special filtration. Baby brine shrimp and Daphnia make excellent foods.

Description

Though most toadfish are marine, or at best, brackish-tolerant, Thalassophryne amazonica is completely freshwater. Compared to the other five known members of its genus, amazonica is the only freshwater species. You will not have to worry about salt, as this species is confined to the Amazon, and under any natural circumstances would never enter saltwater or even brackish. These fish are found throughout the middle Amazon, and are rarely seen due to their relatively small size and elusive nature. These fish are venomous, and best kept in a species-only tank.

And it's recommended by Seriously Fish to breed cichlids for feeding them. Though I guess that would make feeding them easy enough for cichlid owners (especially owners of jaguars, wolves, and convicts).

Especially convicts... Those things breed like CRAZY and are super cheap (All of them, really, but even more so convicts)
