Your Favorite Things about your Local Fish Stores?

My favorite lfs always has a great selection of fish that the other stores never or rarely have, great prices, fish are healthy, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, great selection of dry goods and is locally owned. Downside is they are the furthest from me, almost an hour drive. But worth the trip.

Sounds like a great store, and it is worth the trip. A lot of my stores up here are like that. It seems the further they are the better they are, and it sucks because I don't have a car yet, but when I do, I'll be there often hehe.

That's cool. This guy won't hold fish for any more than two weeks because he doesn't like keeping fish in the small display tanks for long periods of time if he can help it. But he will hold them for a fortnight if I ask and that's more than enough for me.

I ahve never asked for more than a few days, so I don't know how l;ong they would hold onto a fish for me.
