P.S.[/B] Has anyone had this dilemma before? The community tank of schooling fish is nice but it's like I have no connection to the fish individually. I just feel like if I get one or two big ones, that would help me get "closer" to my fish. I know there's a lot of questions, but I would like to hear your opinions :)

Since day one of my fish keeping, eraly 1980's, I have always seen the "small-community-fish" setups at my dentist' office..I easily got bored of this setup and thought it was wimpy..............LAter I got into cichlids..Oscars and Red Devils..............When a person jumps into the South American and Central American cichlids, you throw away all feeling to the small community fish.........Actually, the small community fish really are obsolete now, unless you want them to be target fish and/or feeders...............

I'm definitely excited for these fish to grow(whichever I decide to put, most likely green terror) - more so than watching small fish school and plants growing. :)

Alright, here's some pictures of the new set up. ;)

It's not quite finished yet, I still have to add a few more large pebbles and some driftwood. The driftwood is branchy and tall which will go on the left side.

I'm not sure if I should add some fake plants that suction onto the back of the tank yet.

All critiques are welcome!

The "lounge area" where they can stay behind the rock if they don't want to be seen and it also has the least amount of current present.

I love that piece of the driftwood you have there! It looks as if it's part of a root of a tree and underneath it provides shelter for the fish. Very natural looking.
Also, very nice GT, especially the one with larger bands of orange

Thank you for the positive comments! I have 5 Green Terrors right now and yes, that one terror was quite a find of high quality fish from PetSmart. Only the one though , the rest were average. It has a lot of color for it's size imo(about 2").

It's looking good. That is a pretty nice piece of driftwood. I'd like to see it in a couple of months when the moss starts to grow.
I appreciate it, I got the driftwood from Manzman, a vendor here in MFK(check him out), and the moss are remnants from my previous planted set up(see in previous page).

Stay tuned, more to come soon! :grinyes:

Any tips on improvement would be greatly appreciated!

Could you get better pics of the gt's.. Im not sure but the one with nice colors looks like a short body? It could just be the angle..

Well, here's more pictures of the GT. I don't think it's a short bodied one though.

What do you think?
