First off thanks scott.looks great! i just have to figure out were to put another tank so i can do something to this effect. all inverts last all of 2 seconds in my tank. i need to do a sump also i hate the mico air bubbles the skimmer creates.
Thanks man. Granular ferric oxide. It removes phosphate and silicate. It is what you will be running in your phosban reactor - and it should remove the hair algae if its just a phosphate issue.Everything sounds awesome, what is GFO? Also is hair algae just the little green fuzzy stuff? Any solutions?
Also giants at packers sunday watch it....where ready this time!!!
I found a guy somewhat near me with a pretty big selection; I'll have to see if he has any of the ones on your list.First and foremost to get my GFO running again so that those nasty brown patches of diatoms on my sand will go away.
Then after that, to get some more corals!
Im looking for:
Black sun coral
Australomussa
another acan colony
galaxea
high end zoas
montipora spongeodes
Battle stag of battle corals
a purple version of my "appleberry monti" which I have seen
some xenia for a middle sand bed island
possibly try a clam
And whatever else I can lay my hands on to put frags everywhere before stuff really starts to grow out!
Then I gotta get my test kits (2 weeks) and get going on this three part dosing!
my other sumps baffles broke on me so my sump for the salt setup wont have any. i wish i wasn't broke or i'd be into something like that. my lunar wrasse and piccasso make short work of everything. i am just going to be getting some cuban gars to add to the collection some time next week.First off thanks scott.
Second - I am doing a big order through fosters and buying almost $100 in inverts. Turns out that my large wrasses like snails and hermits too! Im also having a little outbreak of hair algae, which I am hoping to get contained asap.
My sump as no baffles, and I dont have any bubbles in my tank, at least not any that I care about.
