Im linda on the same level with a few stems... O cant remember of i cut the rooots or not but... Its only in one of my tanks that the roots turn brown ans get really... Limp... Like they are rotting... Then i pull them off... Since ive pulled thwm off i havent noticed it again but idk why they would be doing it.

I used an egg crate and some twist ties to create a floating base for the plants. However, i dont know if i got the right plant. Any thoughts? Although the seller did say the plant would work on water.

In The Jungle
Got a JUMBO pothos plant and after much soaking and rubbing in running water, finally got the roots clean and separated. I planted several bumches throughout my tank last night and I come home tonight and find all the leaves kinda saggy. No stems or leaves in the water just roots. Some are in areas of little flow and others are in the line of the spray bars of my eheims. I have crushed coral in my system and add aquarium salt. Temp is about 78F. Nitrates close to 0. Ammo 0 ph 7.4ish. I cut the roots about 2inches also I am running a air pump.

Lost most of my last pothos as the leaves were submerged and didn't grow out of the water fast enough. I REALLY don't wanna lose this one. Is the plant just stressed or is something in my water (salt coral ph) affecting them negatively? As u can see in second pic, the leaves have all layed down and gotten floppy. Yes that is golden ivy/pothos, it will grow in water and consume nitrates! Give it a few weeks to acclimate and start thriving in your tank! Looks great!

Wow first of beautiful tank!

Secondly, ph or a little salt won't effect the pothos, try adding a cheap 6-9watt cfl to get it started a little better, they take about 3-4 weeks to transition and re grow the proper root system for water, dirt roots and hydro roots are different!

Hang in there, mine took a month and now its growing like a jungle!
