Best episode of the season thus far imo! Now we have to wait a month!

Back on topic, if you got it at ur lfs its easy to return and I'm sure you paid 50-60$ for it, so you will break even with a better unit that has more gph and uses 1/2 the electricity!

can the pothos cover the whole surface area of the tank if you have a airline connected to a powerhead? Also,F1, in your piranha tank do you use the pothos to block the light, or is the light already low?

Walmart near me had some large Pothos for half off, $5.00 each.
Wow that's a good deal! Mine were 9.99$!

Great deal! My wife picked up small left over ones for buck each.

No matter how much air you run they can't be submerged unless the roots are long enough and the plants are growing out of the top! You could use eggcrate and the ivy would spread and eventually cover the whole top! You can also buy floating plant holders http://www.naturesaquatics.com/home/naq/smartlist_87/planting_basketsstands.html

As for my shoal tank I use black water extract:

And I only have a marineland 18-24" led light in the middle of the tank, they very much prefer low light & dark water conditions IME!

The plant is growing like wild fire, I love it, roots are really spreading and my piranhas love lurking and hiding out in them!

Thanks, I think i have some floating hydroponics holders. Nice piranha tank, do they need to be in shoals or is that just a way to avoid timidness.
