Local Fish Store/Chain Store Red Texas - Red Texas or Kamfa Flowerhorn?

Hey, I was at a Petsmart near my house today buying a new net and I came across a fish that they had labeled as a "flowerhorn" forsale.... they were asking 26 for it, but it was shaped like the vieja bifasciatus and it had the coloring of a yellow mbuna. I know that most, if not all people, view petsmart fish as mutts, and I didn't think to snap a pic. but is there actually a strand of flowerhorn that is yellow (I know that without a pic. no one can validate my claim and that all guesses are pure speculation)? I will try to run by after work tomorrow to snap a picture of it if it is still there...... in the hopes of an I.D. I kind of liked it, though it was hiding in a little cave (and from past experiences, I know that most FH are not hiders)

I will tomorrow if it is still there. if fact, for 26 i might just buy it as an experiment. Thanks for the quick reply. I will hopefully have some pics up on here tomorrow (whether I buy it or not)

So I went back today, and they still had it swimming around with their other "flowerhorns" (the ones that look like trimacs). After talking to their "expert" fish keeper, they sold it to me at a deep discount (6 dollars instead of 26) at that price, I couldn't pass it up. I really believe that it is just a mutt, as I don't see any flowerhorn in it. Here are the initial pictures, I will send out a couple more when it colors up (isn't stressed and is used to the tank), it didn't have the vertical lines at petmart, just a bright solid yellow with red on it's gill plates



It will be spending it's first couple of weeks with my smaller growouts (F2 lyonsi(x3), F1 Festae(x3), F2ish dovii(x2), and the LFS Argentea (x1), Haitian(x2)

I got her from my lfs as a red texas. The store owner orders from seagrest. For all I know she is a red flowerhorn with pearls lol. But I would like to get a specific I.D. if possible.

I had a friend call me about a red texas today at a different petsmart for 6 bucks.... i told him to buy it for me, this is what I got!

gotta love it. two fish in two days for six bucks..... verdict still out on the first one from my pictures above!
