I'm Where I'm At
To bad nate diaz vs matt brown was canceled would have been an interesting fight for sure.

the bs surrounding the diaz brothers is getting old, i'm over them

but in that particular situation, if it's true that nate never got an offer to fight brown like he claims, then it's the ufc's fault for announcing a fight before a fighter agreed

Ya me to but who do you think will win the battle between connor mcgreggor and jose aldo? At least there is some good fights coming up like weidman vs belfort , jones vs johnson, condit vs alves, the lyoto machida and the cub swanson fights are some other good fights. I dont get why theres all the hate for the diaz brothers I met them at a boxing gym one time and they are actually pretty nice guys.

it was up and down for me about the diaz brothers. at first I didn't like them, then I liked them. but lately they whine a lot about their pay and what they deserve. I can see it with nick, but nate has not earned the right to whine about his pay. his ufc career is full of wins and losses.

nick was on a good run a while back and has put in his time. but with a losing streak, his whining got old quick. It's generally the consensus that the diaz brothers are really nice guys in the gym and in public from people who's met and talked to them. towards their opponents and in interviews, they rub people the wrong way. but the thing with them is, after a fight is over, they always go over and show good sportsmanship, shake hands and stuff like that

and yes, good fights coming up. just hope everyone stays healthy and injury free

and for aldo vs McGregor fight, I have conor as the underdog. it's an interesting match up. we've seen that conor can take it to the ground, like when he hurt his knee in the max Holloway fight, he had to resort to takedowns. other than that fight, he chooses to stand up. we saw siver find success in leg kicks against conor, and that's one of aldo's main weapons.

conor has good reach and he uses his reach well. he's accurate and hits hard. but he's never been against a striker of aldo's caliber. but bottom line is, you gotta have aldo as the favorite.

i'm torn between who I want to win. on one hand, I've been a long time fan of aldo's. on the other, I would love to see conor as a champ and see what he does with it. he's brought massive attention to the division and i'd love to see what he does as champion.

So I'm just getting around to watching UFC from last night and there's Rogan going on and on about how Jacarae Souza just might be the best ever BJJ fighter in MMA....thoughts?

Jacare is a very decorated bjj practitioner, probably top 3 most talented bjj practitioners currently active in mma. i'd say top 5 ever. the thing is, few bjj experts cross over to mma and have success at the highest level. of the most successful at the highest level i'd say jacare is up there. he has a great chance at being champ. he's a former strikeforce champ

off the top of my head, top current bjj fighters that come to mind are roger gracie, fabricio werdum, Robert drysdale, Damien maia. all in the ufc with roger being a former ufc fighter

I wish marcelo Garcia would've continued to pursue an mma career but he only fought once and lost. gave it up apparently after that.

I agree. I think when the Diaz brothers talk smack to other fighters it may be just hype to get people to come watch. Good guy vs bad guy will usually draw in more sales.
