I came home to see what looks like white stringy poop. He is behaving normally and still eating though.

could be a good idea to treat with praziquintel as well, I've started doing it par for the course now; always some hidden unwanted guests on fish!

One of my flowerhorns just got stringy white poo! He isn't eating much anymore but eating still. I had a flowerhorn that got that from time to time but always went away but eventually come back. Not sure why but only my FH get this and I had tons of fish in the tank with the same meal.

I'm going to let it pass hopefully things get better if not i'll try some meds and salt. Usually goes away by itself well at least in the fh I had.

Got the Epsom salt, and soaked his food in it. Will continue this for 5 days. He's still eating like he always does, and he is still being his normal grumpy a&@hole self. Thanks for the responses and info everybody. I really appreciate it.

Doesn't hurt to repeat this treatment every couple of months, helps keep your fish healthy. I have been doing this for a couple of years. Best of luck.

On my fifth day of soaking his food in Epsom salt solution. He is acting normal, and still eating like a pig. But this morning I noticed white poop again. What should I do?

Happened to me interested to know. It comes and goes. I think is due to excess food consumption but thats a theory I have. All my flowerhorn are fine except the ones that consumes too much too fast.
