A month later update.

The kelberi seems to be growing slower for some reason, I'm thinking she's not getting as much food with more competition in the big tank.


The hybrid on the other hand is crushing everything and starting to get some height and girth to her.

Thanks! I'm loving the red she's getting on her underbelly. makes me think she's got some peruvian mono genes in there somewhere.

also forgot to mention, she's 14". That gar is 21" for reference.

Last update before we move cross country

Damn! Blossomed into quite the looker.

May I suggest using huge tubs while moving fish, one per container if possible, lots of airstones, powerhead and hook up a canister filter if possible.

This is going to be our second cross country move, so we've got it all planned out. Footlockers and plastic totes with sponge filters in each. Unfortunately we'll have to crowd because we're bringing so many fish. Last move was 40 fish, we lost 3 because they were fed too close to moving day and fouled up the water. Not making that mistake again.
