Mine were getting that hump when I used to feed them clarias magur fillet, the meat was extremely fatty, as these catfish were farm bred and fed on mostly waste from slaughter homes.
Now I feed only wild caught Tilapia fillet, the dorados have become leaner and have lost the hump.
I saw someone say something about hobbyist making their dorados obeast
Looking good. Love all that movement.
They started to gain height last month. This month I noticed a little girth on the sides and head. Also a lot of teeth.

They are still on a diet of pellets only. This week I started to up the water change to twice a week. You can smell the difference in fish output.

They are hovering in the dead zone with the least amount of current. Their behavior changes as they grow is what I'm seeing. They are getting lazy!

Interesting, mine are still high strung, what is the age of your group, and what size did you get them at.

Mine are 2 years old this November, I got them, when they were like 2.5"-3" in size

I am asking about the current, as I am planning to add some more current to the tank.
My current setup is a water jet that is incorporated in the plumbing of the filter pump, the volume of the pump is 5000 ltr/hr

I got them in March of this year at around 5". So I've had them for about a little over 6 months.
I run a 3000gal/hour (11,356ltr/hr) closed loop on this 225 gal tank.

That's exactly what I'm thinking!.
