New 'hairy' monster in the house

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you made a better choice with the hairy from what you mentioned in this thread. The suvatti stayed buried 24/7 pretty much unless it was feeding time then you better watch your fingers.

Just an update on the hairy puffer

The puffer is looking great. Does it bury itself in the gravel? I've always seen them with sand.

Very nice puffer. Pretty hard to come across them know. Had one many years back. On the lookout now for one.
Have fun with yours.

Loved my old hairy

Insanely aggressive fish. Mine was pellet trained as well

Old age took mine out

I'm looking into a hairy for a 16g at the moment, any updates on this fellow? :)

I can get one for +- $20 so may be a solid deal looking at prices online..

Mine is still doing quite well. From what I get from reading others experiences about them I would say mine is fairly active. It always comes out to beg for food when it sees me and at night i catch it inflating itself quite often.

My last post of pics disappeared so I will repost the little monster:

I have it in a 65B all to itself with an Aquaclear 110 and and Eheim 2217. Overkill on both tank and filter but it really cuts down on how often I have to clean it. Though I do miss the shorter 40B it was in for cleaning purposes.

@Hendre Sounds like a good price if you can get your hands on it.
