36k in flowers and hanging baskets and drip lines this year, not look good if they went crispy.

Drop lines are better than what they did in my last neighborhood, they had a guy on a ladder truck water them every day!

when I took the grounds position over 7 years ago they where watering by hand 86 baskets, time consuming and logistically with the roads the way there are a pain as needed flagers on the east and west hills. So happens they are all on light posts than run along the road side along with the irrigation lines. easy thing to tap into the lines, run a drip insides the light poles, tap drill a hole in the pole where you needed the line to come out, pop in a groman, and feed into the basket with a small 360 drip sprinkler. No ideal why the folks before me did not see this, reduced man hours by an easy 120 hours a week on irrigation.

took about 2 weeks to finish, only had to trench in 2 new zones for the lines in the RV parking area.

Some people are just not able to think sadly, even tho it's an obvious and easy solution
I do not think they where unable to think, just did not want to put the effort in to make it happen, there is reason I took there job.

The plastic being added is 8 million tons
So, I'm skeptical that hand-picked pictures of unfortunate sea life exposed to plastic before it disintegrates is representative of what happens in the ocean
The ocean weighs 1.4 quintillion tons
Hello; In a way I find it fascinating that you go to such elaborate comparisons in order to try to diminish the island of plastic garbage which is the size of a state. Eight million tones in how much time?
While I do not think the plastic in the oceans is anywhere near the top of a list of environmental problems, I do think it illustrates an important point. That point being that human activities can have a substantial impact on the environment.

Hello; Here is something to consider. We aquarium keepers are likely well aware of how much water weighs. But even as dense as water is 1.4 quintillion tons of it is a lot of water. The fact that many pictures of animals trapped or killed by being caught in plastic do exist suggests that likely are a lot of such incidents must be happening that are never see or recorded. I suppose it is remotely possible that all such incidents have been recorded in the photos that do exist, but I do not think so.
