That actually makes sense now, I have been working on the theory that they had been coming from Segrest Farms in Florida. I was pretty sure that Petsmart fish wholesaler shipped to all of them and Segrest is a big enough operation to fit that. Now this whole situation makes complete since, one look at Segrest's lists and they have no clue on what fish have and what they are called. all fish being sold at petsmart, or petsupermarket come from segrest. They used to use a different company (which I can't say) but switched over because it's cheaper. Also the reason most of the fish come in with ich or fungus, I had to take a tour of segrest and how they stay in business blows my mind. you're also being marked up about 7-10x the price depending on where you go.

Hey! New to MFK so this is my first post but wanted to show off this guy who has quickly became my favorite fish ever. I got him on April 5th, so a little over 2 months ago and his growth has BLOWN ME AWAY. He was from a petsmart.
Thought I'd throw in a lil age progression here!

First picture is the day I got him.
2nd picture is 4 DAYS LATER April 9th
3rd is April 20
4th is May 1
5th is May 31
Last couple pics are today LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

I bought a juvenile flower horn labeled only as flowerhorn at petsmart about 2 weeks ago. Ive been trying to get a type i.d. here he is

Can someone tell me what variety of Flowerhorn this is. I purchased at Petsmart a month ago. I was hoping it would turn red and get the kok but it doesn’t seem like (she?) is doing any of that. She is usually much darker than this picture shows.

Sold my petsmart flowerhorn a little while back, but i do miss him dearly. Needed the tank space though.
