Well I’ve made a decision...I’m selling off the paired angelfish.

I like my larger male that is unpaired better than I like the paired off angels....the paired angels are nice but they are not as impressive as my large unpaired male.

They go to a new home tonight!

Aww. So you still have 4 left right? What strains do you have left?

What are you selling them for? I just want to make sure you aren't 'giving' them away)

At the end of today I will have 4 left.

two will be the black lace clowns with the blue cheeks (thought to be BP angels)

the other two will be the blue clowns, thought to not be blue but just silver haha

of the four remaining I think my big male might be trying to pair with the other black lace clown that might be a female, so I may end up with a pair regardless. And I like this male a lot more bc of his sheer size and hunped head

edit* and I’m selling the pair for $80 so def not giving them away

First pic is the male I am keeping, the second pic is the second black lace that I am keeping that might be a female (still not sure)

both of these angels are now missing scales and have torn fins bc of the tension in the tank.

The other two angels are hiding and I cannot get pics of them...one I’m really worried about as I haven’t seen it eating in weeks now, so I’m not sure if it’s even eating....once the two paired fish move they will get a treat of mysis shrimp to celebrate

ok.

That's a decent price. I mean I wouldn't pay that ('cause they aren't my fav) but definitely a good deal to somebody but that isn't cheap either.

I think your in Canada too, I can’t remember where exactly but in my area out west your looking at paying about $25 for a loonie sized angelfish that isn’t paired and that isn’t sexed. A fish the size of mine are $40 each and they are not paired either. With no one shipping fish into the city the local fish supply is starting to dry up as well.
After I posted them online they were spoken for within 10 mins. They are going to an angelfish breeder here and she will keep me updated on their babies so that’s exciting.

if I were a hobbyist and not interested in breeding I wouldn’t buy angels for $80 a pair either...I would buy babies for $10 each and raise them haha

a serious breeder could make their $80 back easily on the first batch of babies

Ive raised a few fish and sold them for good prices....I’d almost rather raise a large fish and sell it as an adult than breeding haha it allows me to watch them grow up and enjoy them but then change stock and raise something else.

Im not. Angelcrze is though. 25?????? That's roughly 17 USD! Id never pay that unless it was something really sepcial. I mean REALLY especial.
So you sold them at a steal!
That's cool. You should be able to have sold the for more but at least you know they are going to a good home. :)

Same. lol. But I wouldn't buy a pair I wasn't interested in breeding. lol

Easy! More like 180. lol

Interesting perspective.

That’s right, my apologies. I know one of you two were Canadian!

Yea the prices are kind of crazy here!!! Angels sell easily!

I think my price was fair for my local market, I’m sure if purchasing in a lfs they would have been over $100 for a proven pair. Also, you never see proven pairs available in lfs lol

true I wouldn’t purchase a pair I wasn’t interested in either haha

yea when I switched from my Jack tank to my syns tank I sold a mature gold female jack for $75, she was the first and last gold jack I have seen in my area...I always look for them so I can check the prices but you can’t find them here.

when I sell my extra Syns I hope to sell them for $40-$50 each...(that might be a pipe dream haha)

the cheapest angels I have seen for sale here are $9.99 at pet smart, sold at about dime size to nickel size in an assorted tank of unknowns

You're fine!

Yeah. You made money off of it so it's fair. Angelcrze does sell pairs to her LFS.

lol

JD or Jag? Never heard of a gold JD.

lol. I don't really know.

I’ve never seen pairs available in lfs here.
