quote in your words - "Definitely not green terror "Andinoacara Stalsbergi" or even "Andinoacara Rivulatus" eyes alone give that away."

the word "definitely" generally means without a doubt... so you said it's definitely not rivulaltus... without any room for doubt.........

I guess I just wanted an apology, not links to posts again trying to disprove what I've said.
I want alot of things but unfortunately thats not how the world works ?‍♂ Im not going to apologize for disagreeing with you. Im also not apologizing because you decided to blow things out of proportion, twist my words, and take things to heart. I dont do the tree hugging thing. I think it would be awesome if you grew them up and proved me wrong. But without proper documentation you could have simply picked them up at a store or anything. Ive never seen rivulatus nor Stalsbergi breed outside their genus and i doubt i ever will.
Look, you said it's "definitely not a rivulatus" based on the eyes alone. That means that without a doubt, you don't believe what I've said. I'm not trying to be overly sensitive here, but please just have some realization in the words you've said lol.

And you're right, I'm sorry I was sensitive in my first reply - I joined fish forums because such a weird thing happened to me and I thought it was exciting to share, but on multiple sites I've only ever been faced with disbelief. I didn't join them to have to prove myself, it's just kind of exhausting. I'm not made for the forum life I guess, this'll be my last post don't worry.
No your good. I get it. Nobody likes being put in that position of having to prove others. But you have to kind of expect to prove something especially if its something thats been unheard of for decades with mannnnny trying. I do understand the way your feeling to but not everyone is always going to agree with you or be on the same page. If you do get them to breed again you should definitely document the spawn and all. Have to remember to we are writing and not actually speaking so its not easy to translate eachothers intentions. But either way I wish you the best. Good luck on your breedings

Here's the thing; I'm not a fish breeder. I'm not a professional. I'm a twenty three year old girl who happened to apparently breed two fish that have very rarely bred, if ever, before. I usually work 16 hour days and barely find the time to keep up with the water, never mind documenting the entire spawn. If you find this interesting, great. If you don't believe it, that's great too. I hope that one day this thread actually had a point.

I'm not a treehugger, I'm a cynic. But I'm also a respectable human being who is capable of realizing my actions/words and how they may have been misconstrued. I deleted the comment about the apology because I realized it didn't really match what I meant, but hey - I didn't know you'd still see it. I just wanted you to admit that you did insinuate that I was not being truthful about the species. But I guess you're not capable of self-reflection ?‍♀
you do you, enjoy living in disbelief ✌ although I must say doubt is much healthier, the outlook is still the same but at least there's a chance of something interesting/good happening.

Thank you! They're fascinating to watch, I have another 5 in a smaller planted tank and the coloring is almost entirely different. The banding almost disappears completely other than the spot under their eyes, I've been trying to get a picture but they're a little more skittish!
