Bet I just got them today. At first I thought he sold me some Goliaths but the tail too short and the mouth don’t look flat in the front like a Goliath

Just grow him a bit more. Dont forget to post an update picture of him. I still think your fish is a batf.
I got two more and I think one is. I don’t think it’s the barb messing his tail up.
Batf doesn't come mixed with vatf. Big eye and vatf do come mixed however. These species live thousands of miles apart; they don't get mixed.
These two was sold to me a Goliaths I know they aren’t Goliath because they had 5 and three in had the pushed in mouth that Goliaths have. I just bought them because idk know what they are. I just know the are tiger fish. They are too small to push with my other two I bought last week so I have them in another 55
The two I just post the lfs got them as Goliaths but three was the same abs these two mouth was more at a point
The only one that acts even vaguely like Brevis is FATF. The others are a bit less aggro and a bit more skittish.
