Did you ever try to breed this fish?
Yes. He spawned 5 batches of fry. First batch ate the second batch. Third batch was eater by mom. The survivors of batch 4 and 5 ended up The Wet Spot in Portland Or. 20181223_134616.jpg

5th.
He killed of Goldie after the 5th batch. Some months later I got three more females to try and breed him again. He rejected two off the bat. Look promising on the third till I woke up one day with her dead. 20190810_093901.jpg20190707_154359.jpg20190706_124446.jpg

So last night I took the new filters out of the boxes to get ready to install them today. Sadly I didn't look them over that much. I then took out the recycling, along with the boxes the ACs came in. Well this morning I start to wash the filters and notice one of the cases are cracked.

So I start a replacement ticket and need the box it came in to return it. I head out to the recycling to grab it and of course the recycling has already been picked up so the now I can't return it for a new one.....so I ordered a new case, will be here Friday.
That's muffed up...I got my replacements on Ebay and they came in solid. You might get a deal on the cases there. Crazy how they cost almost more than the pump!!!

I think my boy Casper is finally settling down a bit. With today's water change I didn't have to net the beast. Paid me no attention at all. When I got to the side he was in he calmly swam over to the other, with no attempted attacks at me or the siphon. We shall see how this goes in future water changes.
